Managing Resume Versions
How resume versions work and how many you can store.
How versions work
You start with one master resume, the file you uploaded during onboarding. Every time ApplyFast tailors your resume for a specific job, it creates a new version. Your original is never modified.
Version limits by plan
| Plan | Versions stored |
|---|---|
| Free | 1 (original only) |
| Student | 5 |
| Pro | Unlimited |
Tailored versions count toward your limit. When you hit the cap, you'll need to delete an old version before generating a new one, or upgrade your plan.
Viewing and downloading versions
Go to any application in your Application Tracker. The resume tab shows the tailored version that was generated for that job, with a diff view highlighting what changed from your original.
Every version can be downloaded as a PDF. This is useful when you're applying manually or want to send a version to someone directly.
Updating your master resume
Go to Settings > Profile and upload a new file. This replaces your master resume. Existing tailored versions are not affected, but all future tailoring will use the new master as the starting point.
After updating, your saved jobs are not automatically re-scored. You can trigger a manual re-score on any job from the detail panel.
