Reviewing & Approving Applications
How to review, edit, and approve prepared applications.
The review queue
After preparing applications, they land in your review queue at Applications > Review. Each application shows:
- Job title and company
- Preparation status (generating, ready for review, or error)
- Three tabs: Resume Diff, Cover Letter, and Job Details
Nothing goes out without your explicit approval. This is the human-in-the-loop step.
Reviewing a resume
Open the Resume tab to see the diff view. Scan the highlights: green for additions, red for removals, yellow for modifications. Make sure the tailored version accurately represents your experience. If something looks wrong, click "Edit" to fix it.
Reviewing a cover letter
The Cover Letter tab shows the generated letter with the tone you selected. Read it through. If the tone doesn't feel right, use the tone selector to switch and click "Regenerate" for a new version.
Regenerating costs 1 credit. Editing the text directly is free.
Approving
Click "Approve" on a single application, or use "Approve All" to batch-approve up to 10 at once.
When you approve:
- A PDF is generated for both the resume and cover letter.
- On Free and Student plans, you'll see "Download & Apply." This downloads the PDFs and opens the job posting in a new tab for you to apply manually.
- On Pro, you'll see "Assisted Apply." ApplyFast submits end-to-end on ATS portals (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, SmartRecruiters, BambooHR) and hands off to you for the final submit click on ToS-restricted portals (LinkedIn, Indeed, iCIMS, Taleo, JazzHR, Jobvite). See Assisted Apply (BETA) for details.
Discarding
Changed your mind? Click "Discard" to remove an application from the queue. The job stays in your feed; you can prepare a new application for it later.
