Managing Your Subscription
How to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan.
Viewing your plan
Go to Settings > Billing to see your current plan, credit usage, and billing details.
Upgrading
Click the plan you want on the billing page. You'll be taken to Stripe Checkout to complete payment. Once confirmed, your plan updates immediately. JWT claims are refreshed, so new credit limits take effect right away.
Upgrading from Student to Pro applies prorated billing. You only pay the difference for the remaining time in your current billing cycle.
Downgrading
To switch to a lower plan or cancel, click "Manage Subscription" on the billing page. This opens the Stripe Customer Portal where you can:
- Switch to a different plan
- Cancel your subscription
- Update your payment method
- View billing history and invoices
What happens when you cancel
Your current plan stays active until the end of the billing period. After that:
- You drop to the Free plan.
- Assisted Apply stops immediately.
- Existing applications and tracking data remain accessible.
- Credit limits reset to Free tier at the next cycle.
What happens when you downgrade from Pro to Student
- Assisted Apply stops immediately.
- Your daily Assisted Apply cap resets to 0.
- Applications already submitted continue to be tracked.
- Resume and cover letter credits reset to Student limits at the next billing cycle.
Payment methods
ApplyFast uses Stripe for all payments. We accept major credit and debit cards. We never see or store your card details.
